Direct-to-film transfer
The logo is printed digitally onto a special film and transferred to the fabric with a heat press. Ideal for colourful, detailed logos with no limit on the number of colours.

Screen print process
Ink is pressed directly onto the fabric through a fine stencil (screen). One separate stencil per colour — which makes it especially durable and vivid.

Direct embroidery
The logo is stitched directly into the fabric with embroidery thread — no sticker, no transfer. It gives the textile an exclusive, three-dimensional character.

At least 300 dpi at final size. Less suitable for screen printing.

- Letter height at least 6 mm — smaller text will blur
- No gradients — embroidery thread cannot create transitions
- Very fine lines (under 1 mm) are left out or simplified

We connect you with a partner designer who professionally vectorises your logo. The vectorisation is handled directly in the ordering process. Kittelwerk does not provide this service itself.

Recommended for JPEG or PNG files without a vector original. Prevents quality loss in print. One-off flat fee per order.

Sweatshirt — brushed version (fleece inside)
The brushed winter sweat may shed a few fibres on first direct skin contact. Recommendation: wash once before first wear. Turn inside out, gentle cycle at 30°C. After that the fabric has settled and is comfortable to wear.

What is the difference between DTF printing and screen printing?+
DTF is a digital process — ideal for colourful, detailed logos from 10 pieces, at no extra cost. Screen printing uses a physical stencil per colour: more robust and resistant to industrial washing, but only worthwhile from 150 pieces. On T-shirts, screen printing is currently free as a special offer.
How large will my logo be printed?+
Standard front chest: 10×10 cm. Standard back: max. 24 cm wide. Would you like a smaller or larger logo? Just add a note in the order form — we agree the exact placement in the proof.
When will I see how the logo looks on the textile?+
After your order we create a free digital print preview (proof) and email it to you. Production only starts after your approval. Changes are possible.
Can I have embroidery on T-shirts?+
No. Embroidery is not recommended on thinner fabrics such as T-shirts, for technical and visual reasons — the fabric distorts under the stitch density. Embroidery is available on sweatshirts, fleece jackets, aprons and caps.
My logo has very fine details — is that a problem?+
For DTF and screen printing this is usually no problem. For embroidery: letters under 6 mm high and lines under 1 mm wide may look blurred or illegible. We tell you in the proof if simplifying makes sense.
I only have a photo of my logo — what now?+
No problem. You can add our logo creation service for €100 when ordering. We connect you with a partner designer who professionally converts your logo into a scalable vector file. Kittelwerk takes care of the coordination.
How do I wash my printed textiles correctly?+
DTF printing: max. 30–40°C, inside out, no tumble dryer. Screen printing: up to 60°C, inside out recommended. Embroidery: up to 60°C, gentle cycle. Sweatshirt (brushed): wash once before first wear — otherwise the inner fibres may shed on first contact.
How long does DTF printing last?+
With proper care, DTF printing lasts for many years. After about 20 or more washes the colour intensity may fade slightly — a property of all transfer printing processes. For extreme use (industrial washing, daily operation) we recommend screen printing or embroidery.
